3. Houston, we have a hypothesis

Elon Musk is at it again, only this time he’s not trying to get you to buy a new Tesla. On Valentine’s Day, SpaceX is set to launch on a trip to the International Space Station with an interesting passenger on board, MRSA. A study on the pathogen will take place sponsored by NASA and CASIS, and will be run by Dr. Anita Goel. According to Forbes, Dr. Goel believes “that the near-zero gravity environment could result in accelerated mutation rates of MRSA.” The desire is that medicine can finally get ahead of the mutation here on earth, instead of constantly playing “catch-up.” Let’s hope all goes as planned, or else when the aliens invade—and they will—they will bring space-MRSA with them.
